More about our cocker spaniels
and how we raise them.
I have always loved the cocker spaniel breed and grew up with them when I was a teenager.
Back then we had the field cocker spaniel which was a much bigger cocker than the American Cocker Spaniel today. As I remember, they had the most wonderful temperament and their willingness to please was amazing.
All our cockers are fed the raw diet. They are raised on a whole prey diet that is appropriate for their health and well being. No chemicals are used around our home and or on our cocker spaniels. It is important to me that my cockers are not subjected to any chemical exposure. Meaning no chemicals around our home and or yard. Less chemicals that are used for dogs for ticks and heartworm is also not something I use. Building up a healthy immune system is the best way for our cockers . An appropriate diet, less vaccination exposure, less chemicals and a clean and happy home is all in the best interest of my cockers.
Murphy was our 15 year old cocker. Murphy was started on the raw diet when she was almost 11 years old. She had tranformed into a new dog after starting on the raw diet! Murphy lived with my daughter in RI and loved long walks on the beach. We are so sad to have lost our little Murphy this year 2009 to old age. May she rest in peace. We will miss you Murphy.
